Our team at Rank the Vote is excited to welcome four new team members to our national organization!

Our new teammates include Mike, Caroline, Evely, and Aleks, who will be supporting communications, social media, organizing, and technology strategy. All of our newest team members bring a wealth of experience from campaigns, organizing, and nonprofits.

Get to know each of them below and please join us in welcoming our newest team members!

Aleks is an experienced civic technology strategist who specializes in building scalable, people-centered digital infrastructure for movements, nonprofits, and coalitions working to build political power and create lasting change.

Before joining Rank the Vote as Technology Manager, Aleks spent nearly a decade working across political campaigns, nonprofit organizations, and movement technology, serving in both field leadership and technology roles. Her experience spans the full arc of movement work, from organizing and campaign operations to building the systems and tools that support them. Her work includes multi-state tool rollouts, technology pilots and integrations, accessible training programs, vendor management, and designing more effective systems and infrastructure for organizing and civic engagement. Aleks is especially passionate about leveraging technology to strengthen movements, reduce barriers for organizers, and support the principles of big distributed organizing.

Whether Aleks is leading a 50-state tool rollout or working with a partner to rethink their technology ecosystem, her approach stays the same: build what lasts, share what works, and stay accountable to the people who power the work.

Mike Griffin is a strategist and organizer with nearly two decades of experience building political power and advancing electoral reform. He believes Ranked Choice Voting is the most viable and effective change to achieve the diverse, representative leadership needed to address the critical issues facing our communities.

Mike is the National Senior Organizer in a partnership between Rank The Vote and the Harvard Law School Election Law Clinic. The project pairs legal capacity, election systems expertise, and grassroots organizing to enforce state Voting Rights Acts and advance Ranked Choice Voting and Proportional Representation across multiple states. The goal: fairer, more competitive elections that better reflect our communities.

Mike has served as a key organizer and advisor to FairVote Minnesota, playing a critical role in bringing Ranked Choice Voting to Minneapolis and St. Paul. He specializes in public education, coalition building, and implementation strategy that ensures reforms deliver for voters on day one.

Mike holds a B.A. in Political Science from the University of Minnesota and a Master of Arts in Theology from Luther Seminary, where he focused on justice and reconciliation. That theological grounding informs his commitment to bringing a racial and economic justice perspective into voting rights and democracy reform.

Based in Minneapolis, Mike is grateful to the mentors and partners who have supported him throughout his career. When he’s not working on democracy reform, he’s watching Netflix with his cat.

Caroline is the Communications Manager at Rank the Vote. She comes to Rank the Vote with over a decade of experience in communications across a multitude of industries.

Previously, Caroline managed the communications efforts for two ranked choice voting campaigns in Oregon: statewide ranked choice voting in 2024 and proportional ranked choice voting for local elections in Portland in 2022. She is a big proponent of coalition-led movements and building sustainable campaign efforts that build capacity across a movement.

Outside of work, Caroline loves to go on hikes, read, play video games with her partner, and do all things crafting.

Evely Reyes is a Social Media Organizer passionate about using digital storytelling, engaging content, and civic engagement to connect people with issues that matter to their communities.

Evely holds a B.A. in Political Science and minors in Spanish and Social Justice from Queens University of Charlotte. She has worked with various campaigns and civic engagement organizations as a social media manager and content creator. She creates English and Spanish-language content. She strives to create an inclusive environment both online and in person. Outside of work, Evely is a big fan of traveling and reading.
