Reform friends, we have big news!
We are thrilled to announce that Eileen Reavey is the new Executive Director of Rank the Vote. She’ll be leading our team and serving the state organizations that are doing the work right where they live to make America stronger by choice with ranked choice voting and other key structural election reforms.
Few leaders have made as much impact as quickly as she did with National Popular Vote in her previous five years of work. Last year when we recruited Eileen to join our organization, we knew that to effectively help our state partners turn the corner and leverage grassroots muscle for legislative progress would require the type of advanced experience and expertise in advocacy and coalition building that she possesses.
This transition marks another key pivot resulting from Rank the Vote’s continuous improvement process, whereby through committed servant leadership, we provide maximum value in support to our state partners. It is critical that the “what” of support and “how” it is delivered evolve with the movement. Many of our 31 state partners have grown from a handful of committed volunteers a few years ago to statewide movements involving tens of thousands and experienced leaders, winning strategic campaigns of increasing scope. Eileen and our entire team are energized to meet the needs of this moment.
Our last Executive Director Nathan Lockwood will continue as Director of Strategy and Advancement focused on securing the resources this movement requires to achieve a strengthened, high functioning democracy that represents and works for everyone. The more we invest in people making change, the faster we win.

Meet Eileen Reavey
“I am honored to step into this role and look forward to leading the organization. Nathan has led Rank the Vote with vision and dedication, building a powerhouse organization that equips advocates nationwide with the tools they need to make meaningful change in their communities. Our organization is stronger than ever, and I look forward to working alongside our dedicated team, volunteers, and supporters to advance our mission.”
Please join Rank the Vote’s board and entire team in congratulating Eileen and ourselves on this deeply strategic step forward.
