🧩 Gerrymandering is hurting our democracy. Proportional representation is a solution!
What is we had multi-member districts with fair representation? Imagine is we could make gerrymandering essentially pointless. No more drawing lines to pick your voters. Voters pick their representatives.

🚪Nearly half of American voters call themselves independents, but in many states, they’re locked out of primary elections entirely.
📊 In 2024, 87% of the U.S. House of Representatives was effectively elected by just 7% of Americans, a tiny slice of highly partisan primary voters.
That’s not a democracy. That’s a closed club. Open primaries fix it.

🖊️ Politicians drawing their own district lines is like letting students grade their own tests. The result? 77% of American voters want independent commissions to draw maps, not politicians.
Right now, we’re watching a redistricting arms race play out in real time ahead of the 2026 midterms. Voters deserve better.
🗨️ Do you know who drew your congressional district? Should voters, not parties, decide? Tell us in the comments!
#FairMaps #EndGerrymandering
Yesterday’s 6-3 Supreme Court ruling in Louisiana v. Callais gutted the Voting Rights Act and is a devastating setback for American democracy.
Voting rights advocates have long warned that the dismantling Section 2 of the Voting Rights Act, will open a Pandora`s box of disenfranchisement for minorities and other vulnerable communities. The court’s decision will bring a new wave of racial gerrymandering and jeopardize the representation for millions of Americans in majority-minority districts in the South.
This decision effectively places all gerrymandering beyond meaningful judicial reach and gives voters fewer options for redress. The consequences will accelerate partisan polarization in Congress and in state legislatures.
We mourn the Voting Rights Act, often referred to as the crown jewel of the Civil Rights movement. In the days to come we will work alongside our partners to listen, educate, and fight back against the gerrymandering race to the bottom. The path forward is reform — not retreat.
Four reforms. One mission: a democracy that actually represents everyone!
✅ Ranked Choice Voting: eliminate spoilers, elect majority winners
✅ Open Primaries: let all voters participate in publicly funded elections
✅ Proportional Representation: every voice earns a seat at the table
✅ Fair Maps: independent commissions, not politicians, draw the lines
84% of voters say fair district lines are critical to the health of our democracy. The will is there. Now let’s expand the movement.

Great news from Virginia yesterday!
After accepting Governor Spanberger`s technical amendments, the bill expanding #RankedChoiceVoting became law.
This expands the number of localities that can choose to use #RCV and makes the option permanent.
Across the country, the movement for more choice and a healthier democracy is growing from the ground up!

In 2024, DC voters overwhelmingly chose to adopt #RankedChoiceVoting and #OpenPrimaries in the district. Currently, the #RCV portion has been funded, but not the semi-open primary provision, which threatens to exclude 85,000 independents from a meaningful say in elections.
