The ranked-choice voting tabulation to decide the official winner in Maine’s 2nd Congressional District race between incumbent Democrat Jared Golden and Republican challenger Bruce Poliquin neared its conclusion on Tuesday afternoon, a week after Election Day.
Maine Secretary of State Shenna Bellows is overseeing the process and livestreaming it on her Facebook page.
Bellows told WMTW, “This is open, it’s transparent. Nothing is happening behind closed doors. It’s out here for everyone to see.”
